PVAMU Annual Presidents Lecture Series "Black Lives Matter" 2016 Exhibit

These prize-winning pieces were created for a “Black Lives Matter” themed contest and exhibit. They were meant to showcase the elegance and beauty in black features like full lips, afros, and fades. 
The “Motions” is a 3 part digital drawing. These abstract yet detailed figures are incredibly recognizable amongst Black culture. The fine dynamic lines in this trilogy give the appearance of constant motion. I wanted to express the fact that though black beauty is constantly changing and evolving, it is truly everlasting.
