About The Team

The Pfizer Experience Design and Business Adoption (xD&BA) Team determines the best solutions to analyze, validate and test Pfizer products and processes with users. The xD&BA team consists of researchers, designers, strategists and product managers who work together assess and mitigate pain points associated with internal products.

Project Objectives

  • Identify potential design concerns to be addressed to improve efficiency, productivity, and end-user satisfaction of the newly developed Pfizer Asset Care Excellence (PACE) Global Reliability ecosystem.

Research Protocol

I started this project by scoping out the work in a multi-page research protocol that includes the overview, goals, deliverables, scripts and templates that will be used throughout the research project.

This document is co-created using information from the stakeholders.

Research Timeline

The research timeline was created in an Agile work stream that operated in 6 two-week sprints. The sprints started with Innovation & Planning (I&P) meetings with the greater team, then Program Increment (PI) planning with stakeholders before starting the sprints.

Usability Testing & Synthesis

Reliability engineers are the primary users of the PACE digital ecosystem. To capture a range of diverse prospectives, I scheduled and hosted usability tests with 10 Reliability Engineers across 9 different Pfizer sites in 7 countries.

Notes from the sessions were recorded and synthesiszed in Miro.

Heuristic Evaluations

To get a holistic view of PACE UI against industry standards, I assembled a team of 2 designers and 3 researchers to perform Heuristic Evaluations.

We validated the metrics for evaluation and individually tested each page of the tool against industry standards.

Research Synthesis

I compiled the research findings in a full deck that gave a rating of each page along with findings and recommendations based on criticality. In this deck I combined recommendations from the researchers as well as the summarized feedback from user interviews to give stakeholders a full view of the user experience.

Conclusion

At the end of each research project, stakeholders and developers would have access to all documents making it easier than ever to make revisions before product release dates.
